I’m about to get serious with you.
We are given Soooooo much EATING advice from health gurus, naturopaths, and healers.
Not forgetting the KING OF KINGS, the guru itself “GOOGLE” search.
All can profoundly affect an individual’s self-esteem and close relationship with food, that has a ripple effect that can comprise exercise, self-awareness and your emotional well-being.
Is it a very Zen idea that one can simply feel love for themselves that much, then when choosing what to EAT actually matters? Because they matter?
Yes, YOU Matter.
Imagine the word and the feeling of “Self-Love” for a minute.
Like, stop reading this email.
Close your eyes…
…and sit there and think about what the “FEELING“ of self-love means to you?
For me, Self-Love feels like this to me…
To have empathy and deep love for the trauma I have experienced over the years.
To simply stand butt naked in front of the mirror and sink into the feeling of my scars, cellulite, burses, bumps & ripples.
I smile, feeling my heart beat without me telling it to. It just beats away…
To be able to sink into the eternal of the 78 organs in-house feel them, well try anyway.
Self Love feels like that for me.
As you acknowledge and feel into the eternal, I think you get more mature.
You drop the Hollywood, Instagram, Facebook, Disney-fied, cultural fantasies that create hang-ups and start to see and feel the joy that you once forgot…
What I mean by forgot, is this…
A small child at the age of 2 or 3 looks in the mirror makes funny faces, laughs, and giggles.
They feel joy.
This ability to be entertained simply by their own reflection enhances the feeling of self-discovery and the experience of creativity.
Mirror play is a great way to get kids to engage by themselves.
They don’t judge.
That feeling of judgment comes much later on in life.
All though we are not children, our condition is so FARrrrrrr away from that space of BE-ing a 2-year-old.
Who wouldn’t agree that BE-ing a 2-year-old would be a breath of fresh air to one’s monkey mind?
And that brings me to the word BE-ing…BE to BE-come.
We are not taught to BE. We are taught to DO.
We are human beings after all – not human doings.
To DO is what creates disappointment and shock. Diseases in the body.
To Be is what creates understanding, self-love. Ease in the body.
And when we fall in-love with BE-ing our food choices are completely flipped. We start to choose ingredients that serve the organs as this feels like ease.
We start to understand nature and all that it offers. We really start to BE-come healthy. Naturally. In an industry full of advice, food fads, and food trends.
When simply to EAT is natural.
Healthy Mind + Healthy Body = Freedom….
just like that 2-year-old.
So today, as I strip back to my jocks, stand in the mirror, knowing I am bloated as my period just arrived, I look BE-yond the scars, bruises, ripples, and past trauma.
I look within, knowing my heart just beats and my eyes tell a wonderful story of what would happen if I played like a 2-year-old every time I looked in the mirror?
And to be truthful to you. That would feel easy….
Much love to your beautiful bodies, your healthy natural food choices, mum’s and gran’s roast dinner and dad’s control over the bbq.
How very great-FULL it feels to simply EAT.
