Where Do Wholefood Chefs Like To Eat?
When I’m not in my kitchen studio, I like to head out to Moksa – it’s my favourite restaurant in the whole world, and it’s plant-based! I like everything about this place – food, atmosphere, location, its energy…
I thought it would be awesome to give you a glimpse into this place and take you on a short tour. There we were welcomed by brilliantly creative Chef Made, who told us a story about his wonderful Moksa place.
The Story Of Moksa: What’s Behind Plant-Based Success?
While waiting for our food to arrive, we were listening to the incredible story Chef Made shared with us. It’s a story of appreciating nature, finding passion in life and creating food that serves our bodies. The name of the restaurant properly describes where Chef Made finds his inspiration to keep creating epic meals. Moksa, as he described, is what he associates with heaven, liberation, reaching some higher achievement, and in the context of cooking, preparing the best nourishing meals you can.
When our food arrived, there was no time for talking – we dived right into it. We had jackfruit tacos and coconut mushroom soup. These were not only super tasty but each plate looked like a piece of art. If you’d love to try and make something similar at your home already today, check out my quick recipe on how to make jackfruit tacos.

What I really like about Chef Made’s philosophy is that he takes young students under his wing. He trains and grows them into plant-based chefs. It’s this coaching part of our jobs that is extremely rewarding and I absolutely love it!
As we were wrapping up our visit, I saw my friend Dee with a big smile on her face and then she said, “I ate a lot but don’t feel guilty at all. I’m happy!” I think that’s the best way to end this little story about Moksa and plant-based cooking.
