Dairy-Free Ice Cream: Delicious, Chocolatey, and Just What You Need To Survive The Hot Days

Hello, ice cream lovers! Today we are making dairy-free chocolate ice cream and I promise I will make this one super simple. You won’t need an ice cream or any other fancy machine for this recipe and it will take you less than 10 minutes to make it, but you’ll have to wait for it to set. I hate that about ice creams. Lol!

It’s a great recipe for kids because you can give them that ice cream flavour they want, but at the same time, you give them what their bodies need to grow and develop. Let’s start!

What Makes This this Ice Cream So Creamy?

It’s coconut cream! It’s truly divine and I love it in this recipe because it doesn’t only give the rich and creamy flavour to the ice cream but it’s also packed with goodness. I find this recipe to be a bit cheeky because it has some probiotics in it and I assure you, you won’t even taste that something is going on there.

Probiotics are good for us and our gut health, so when I was putting together the recipe for this dairy-free ice cream, I was thinking of how to boost its nutritional value even more. I remembered my coconut yogurt, and that was a perfect match. This coconut yogurt pairs nicely with coconut cream, and it’s very mild in flavour, so its sourness won’t overpower other flavours in this recipe. Chef’s pro tip: when buying coconut cream, look for the one that’s 98% coconut. You’ll probably find some brands that have one more ingredient besides coconut, such as regulators or stabilisers, and that’s fine. However, if the ingredient list has more than two items, run away.
