How To Make Fresh Coconut Milk And My Favourite Recipes To Use It In

Should you make your own coconut milk, or just buy it from a can? Two choices right there, bang! I love the gift of choice! Often we don’t even see all the choices we have. Do you think about making your own coconut milk, or the fact that it comes in a can lead you to believe that was your only choice. Trying something new can be tough at first, mainly because we always think things are harder than they really are. But I invite you in every way to start seeing all your options and take your choices from there. It’s not about judgement for which choice you make, but an awareness of what choices you have. Now let’s talk coconut milk!

Choice 1 – Buying Coconut Milk From A Can

Grab your car keys, wallet, drive to the shops, get out of ya car, go into the shops, smile, Get grateful, live in the Let Go while you approach some AMAZING human that works there ( who’s probably really doing their Law degree, and needs the work to feed themselves)

You ask- “Hi…how you do’in? Can you direct me to the canned coconut milk please, Thank You”!!

You grab a “CAN”, go to the checkout, smile again as you wait in a very very long line, with some dude in front of you Huffing and Puffing as the chick behind the cash register sets her own pace, Genius really as my friend Kat from NOWISM teaches me, this is the gift to really practice “liven in the Let go”!

Any hoo…you buy your can of coconut milk, get back in the car, go home, grab a can opener and well the rest is history…you know how it goes down..

Choice 2 – Buying A Old Brown Fresh Coconut And Making Fresh Coconut Milk

Grab your car keys, wallet, drive to the shops, get out of ya car, go into the shops, smile, Get grateful, live in the Let Go while you approach some AMAZING human that works there (who’s really doing their Law degree, and needs the work to feed themselves).

You ask- “Hi…how you do’in? Can you direct me to the fresh coconuts please, Thank You”!!

You grab your “NUT” go to the checkout, smile again as you wait in a very very long line, with some dude in front of you Huffing and Puffing as the chick behind the cash register sets her own pace, Genius really as my friend Kat from NOWISM teaches me, this is the gift to really practice “liven in the Let go”

Any hoo…you buy your Fresh of coconut , get back in the car, go home, grab a hammer, bang it a couple of times, the kids hear you, they come out, and want to have a go, you let them, they open it without any injuries. Yewww!

How To Make Your Own Coconut Milk And My Favourite Recipes To Use It In

You scoop out the hard flesh, pop it in your blender or Vitamix, press play to blend, then strain and well the rest is history…you know how it goes down… The fresh coconut milk only lasts a day so plan ahead with how you want to use it.

You normally will get about 2 L of milk out of a coconut. Which is enough coconut milk for my randang curry recipe, a couple of epic mylkshakes, or 2 lots of my dairy free ice cream.

If some goes to waste, don’t worry. What’s important here is that you deciding to deliver your body the best possible food, fresh as nature intended.

And it’s that simple….it all comes down to choice!

Love you all, Chef xxx
